A magnificent parade of the Knights Templar marching down Montgomery street through several temporary arches. This parade continues up Market street past Grand and Palace Hotels. The Baldwin Hotel can be seen in the distance to the right of Market street. A large crowd are watching, some on horseback and in carriages. The year 1883, was an especially active year for the San Francisco Knights Templar, as many members from Boston made their way to California.
