Pieter Jansz Post was an artistic trifecta: architect, painter, and printmaker. Born in the Netherlands, Post is accredited with the creation of the Dutch Baroque style of architecture. Post, along with longtime collaborator Jacob Van Campen designed Mauritshuis (Maurice House) in the Hague. The Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis has one of the world’s premier collections of Dutch Masters including, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Hobein, and Frans Hals.
